I think Tony Ugoh is going to be pretty good. It will be a loss, for sure, but I think in the long run, they will be fine.

What I am REALLY broken up about is that I have to retire my #78 FalseStart replica Colts jersey. ;-)

This, more than anything the Steelers, Patriots, Chargers, Bengals, or Ravens did or didn't do this offseason, will affect the Colts' run to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. Franchise-caliber left tackles don't grow on trees, let alone ones who handle themselves with dignity and class, and who make the cities they live in better places through their off-the-field efforts.

Tarik Glenn should've made more than three Pro Bowls, but offensive line politics (i.e. the "once you're in, you're ALWAYS in" rule) prevented that. He was the anchor of one of the finest OL units in the league for the last seven or eight years now, and has as great a claim to being a team leader for a Super Bowl Champion as Peyton Manning or Marvin Harrison. In a perfect (or even near-perfect) world, that should count to Hall of Fame voters more than anything.

Above all else, Tarik Glenn deserves to go out on his own terms. The NFL brutalizes a body, especially for offensive and defensive linemen. Good luck on your future endeavors, Tarik. You helped make being a Colts fan a hell of a lot of fun.

Thank you, #78.
