That said his marketing value could be good for the MLS. The big question mark is yeah, he might get people watching, but will those same people change the channel disappointed when the level of play falls far short from what they saw in the World Cup? Of course, I'd like to see soccer take off in the US, and nothing they've done so far has worked, so I figure this can't hurt. So the 250 million figure MLS quoted is a wee bit misleading. Regardless, Becks might want to get that cash upfront...
