Poor Tony Romo (”Pro Bowl”? QB. Only in the JVNFC)
To say I didn’t experience a bit of schadenfreude at the end of that game would be a lie. Watching the Cowboys snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory gives me a little thrill. The countdown to T.O. bitching about not getting thrown enough passes may now begin.
In other playoff action, BOTH teams from NYC lost on Sunday giving the NYC sports media a buffet of blame tossing, name calling and hand wringing. The Jets stunk it up, unable to adequately pressure Tom Brady in any meaningful way like they did the last time the teams faced each other. The Giants, well, they tried hard. Eli Manning almost bailed them out at the end after a mediocre performance for most of the game but the Giants D couldn’t stop my grandmother on that last drive.
Do you think Chad Pennington and Eli Manning hang out together and console each other after the sports media in NY rips into them every week? I think they buy some ice cream, pop in Steel Magnolias and talk about how no one loves them. About how if only they lived in San Diego or Phoenix they could get some respect.
